2010: Mendiola red-shirted his first year at Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Previous: Mendiola played two years at South Carolina-Sumter. He posted a .994 fielding percentage on a team that went 38-17. He led USC-Sumter to the Region X championship his Sophomore year.

High School: Mendiola led Richland Northeast HS to back-to-back Regional Semifinal appearances. He earned all-region honors as a senior and was an All-State nominee.

Personal: Mendiola is the son of Israel and Laura Mendiola and he is studying Pre-Physical Therapy. He is originally from Kingsville and went to Kingsville schools until 8th grade.
