The first of the two newest additions is freshman infielder Cory Hunt from the University of Utah. Hunt, a native of Salt Lake City, was a two-time all-state performer at Jordan High School. “Cory is a very athletic kid that can play multiple positions on the diamond,” commented Koch. “His speed and versatility will be a big asset for our team this summer.”
Helping out with the catching duties this summer will be Tehlequah, Oklahoma native, Brad Shankle. Shankle, a junior at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, was recently named First-Team All-Conference in the Lone Star Conference after hitting .298 on the season.
