In his first season at New Mexico, Podsednik was off to a great start appearing in 12 games at catcher, hitting .325 with four doubles and six runs batted before Covid-19 forced the cancellation of the 2020 season. Podsednik is having a solid season defensively thus far in 2021 with a .988 fielding percentage in eight games at catcher.
