James Swan will return for his second season with the Generals. Last Summer, Swan appeared in 16 games, threw 36 innings, 35 strikeouts and 40 walks with an ERA of 4.99.

Served a redshirt season ... named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2013 fall semester and the 2014 spring semester.

HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year starter for coach Steve Griffith at Cypress-Mauriceville High School in Orange, Texas … played several positions, including pitcher, first base, third base, shortstop and outfield … for his career, posted a .390 batting average with a 2.74 ERA … was named to the first team All-District and Orange Leader Offensive MVP his senior season … was also The Record Offensive MVP and a member of the Beaumont Enterprise All Super Gold Team his senior season … a two-time member of the Academic All-District team, as well as a two-year member of the National Honors Society … frequent volunteer for the Salvation Army.
