July 5, 2019- The Victoria Generals grabbed the lead in the 3rd inning and never looked back; winning the game 5-1. The Generals scored runs in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and two in the 5th to tally a total of five runs.
The only offense the Rougarou were able to occur was a solo home run by Brennan Lambert in the 2nd inning.
Spencer Arrighetti earned the win for the Victoria Generals. He surrendered one run on four hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 12. AJ Irvin and Clayton Price entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Jacob Snyder took the loss for Baton Rouge Rougarou. He went five innings, allowing five total runs, three of which were earned on six hits, while striking out two.
The Generals totaled six hits in the game. Coby Potvin and Jose Diaz each racked up multiple hits for the Generals. Diaz and Potvin each collected two hits to lead the Generals.
The Generals will be back in action tomorrow night, July 6th, at home against the Baton Rouge Rougarou for Alzheimer's Awareness night.
