March 15, 2019 – With the 2019 Texas Collegiate League season right around the corner, the Victoria Generals continue adding to their roster as they prepare for another season in the Texas Collegiate League.  This week, the Generals have announced the addition of two players from Our Lady of the Lake University. Pitcher Aaron Gonzales and utility player Jose Diaz will take the field for the Generals as they open their 11th season in the Texas Collegiate League.

"Our relationship continues to grow with the OLLU coaching staff as they continue to send players to help build our roster," commented Mike Yokum, Generals Vice President and General Manager. "Jeremy  (Flores) was a player and coach for the Generals and knows the caliber of player it takes to win in our league and always sends us some of his top players."

Right-handed pitcher Aaron Gonzales, a native of Houston, is currently in his junior season with the Saints. Gonzales played two seasons at Alvin Community College prior to transferring to the Saints this season. As of today (3-15-19) Gonzales has appeared in six games (6 starts), 34 innings pitched, 32 strike outs, 2.12 ERA, two complete games, with an opponent batting average against  of .195 on the season.
