The Victoria Generals continue their winning ways as they win their fifth straight as they sweep the Woodland Strykers 8-4.
The Generals would have to come from behind tonight as the Strykers would strike first scoring a run in the first to lead the Generals 1-0 after one.
The Generals would get back into the game in the second with a pair of walks from Bryce Brandl and Nick Anderson and a single from Mac Odom to load the bases with two outs. Jonathan Artigues would send one to the gap to score two runs and the Generals would take the lead 2-1.
Strykers would take the lead back from the Generals by scoring a pair in the fourth to lead 3-2. Dakota Phillips would even the score at three with a solo blast to start the sixth.
Strykers would take the lead back with a solo home run by Coll Stanley in the seventh that would hold until the Generals would battle back with a pair in the eight as Levi Zents would reach on an error, Bryce Brandl would single and Pedro Barros would tie it up with a single to score Zents. Nick Anderson would give the Generals the lead with a single to score Brandl to take the score to 5-4.
The Generals would never look back as they added three more in the ninth with back to back doubles by Zents and Hunter Hearn that would add a run before Phillips would hit a two run blast, his second of the night to run the score to 8-4
A Solid pitching effort from Riley Cooper who went 5.1 innings before being relieved by Adrian Cook. Cook would pitch well before getting into a little trouble in the eight as reliever Chris Jones would come in and close the door on the Strykers.
