Generals run Win Streak to Four Games with Win Over the Strykers
The Victoria Generals continue their winning ways as they win their fourth straight as they defeat the Woodland Strykers 11-8.
The Generals got on the board early with two runs in the first thanks to a two run double from Hunter Hearn that would score Christian Caudle and Dakota Phillips who both walked in the inning.
The Generals would add three additional runs in the third inning with a walk by Alberius, a single by Caudle, a double by Phillips, another walk by Hearn and a single by Barrios to run the score to 5-1.
Strykers walks and errors would allow three more runners to cross the plate as the Generals would run the score to 8-2 after five innings.
Generals starter Tanner Driskill would run into a little trouble giving up a 2-run shot that would run the score to 8-5 as Lance Moszkowitz would come in and get the final out of the inning.
The Generals would fight back for two runs thanks to a 2-run shot by Dakota Phillips to run the score to 10-5.
The Generals would hold on to win the game 11-8 as Tanner Driskill would get the win, his third win of the season.
The Generals will wrap up the final game of this four game road trip at the Strykers tomorrow night before returning home to Riverside Stadium on Saturday.
Saturday is also Warrior’s Weekend Jersey Auction presented by Jaks Financial. Victoria Generals players and coaching staff will be wearing commemorative patriotic jerseys that will be auctioned off following the game. All proceeds from the jersey auction will go to the Warrior's Weekend Organization.
Gates will open an hour before first pitch with happy hour on the Compadres Design Party Deck. Draft beer will be half-price until first pitch.
