Congratulations to Lee May Gonzalez and Christian Caudle for winning the TCL weekly honors. Lee May had an outstanding outing going seven strong innings, allowing only one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out eight on the night and collecting the win. Lee May currently has a ERA of 0.96 on the season and has 16 strikeouts while only walking one batter.
Christian Caudle also had an outstanding week hitting .571 (8-14) with six runs scored, eight RBI's, with one home run, two doubles, and a walk to compile a .600 on-base percentage. Caudle also was solid defensively behind the plate throwing out two base runners on the week. With Caudle's outstanding week, he raised his batting average from .250 to .318 on the season.
With these two awards, the Generals now have three awards on the season with Nick Anderson winning Player of the Week in week 2.
The Generals return to action at Riverside Stadium this weekend with games on Saturday and Sunday against the Woodland Strykers. Gates open at 6:00 with half priced draft beer on the Compadres Party Deck.
