Victoria Generals Split the Series Against the Arcadiana Cane Cutters
The Generals’ bats were all over the place Tuesday night with a 10-3 win against the Arcadiana Cane Cutters evening up the two-game series at Riverside Stadium.
Eight Generals contributed to the score, including Bryce Brandl and Pedro Barrios scoring two runs each. Mac Odom and Nick Anderson had two stolen bases each followed by Chace Sarchet who had one. Anderson also had four straight walks on the night.
The Generals and Michael Brawner fell behind the Cane Cutters early in the first giving up a run, but didn’t look back as the Generals scored two runs in the second and continue adding runs in the third, fifth, sixth and seventh.
Brawner settled down in the second and pitched six strong innings, giving up three hits, to record the victory.
Kaleb Keith and Lance Moszkowicz came in as relief to help secure the seventh win of the season for the Generals.
The Generals hit the road for a two-game series against the Woodlands Strykers starting Wednesday, June 22 before returning home to face the Texas Marshals starting Sunday, June 26.
Sunday June 26 is also Dad’s Day at the Park presented by Citizens Medical Center. All dads and children will be admitted free to the game. Dad will also have a chance to win a recliner compliments of Ashley HomeStore.
Gates will open an hour before first pitch with happy hour on the Compadres Design Party Deck. Draft beer will be half-price until first pitch.
