Jude Vidrine went 3-for-4 on Thursday night with a double, an RBI, and a run scored.
After the Victoria Generals jumped out to an early 4-0 lead on Thursday night at Riverside Stadium after two innings, the McKinney Marshals responded with eight unanswered runs to come back and beat the Generals 8-4.
In the first inning, the Generals got on the board on an RBI single by Andrew Stumph to score Jude Vidrine who had walked to start the inning.
The Generals made it 4-0 in the second. Carter Mangum and Brandon Tierney came around to score after Blue Hybner laid down a sacrifice bunt that was botched by the Marshals third baseman. Hybner would score later in the inning on an RBI double by Vidrine.
Unfortunately, that would be all of the damage the Generals offense could do on the night as the Marshals mounted their comeback.
Tyler Schnuriger took the loss, giving up five runs on six hits with three strikeouts.
With the loss, the Generals fall to 25-18 on the season as the Marshals improve to 14-28.
The two teams will meet again on Friday night for game two of the series at Riverside Stadium at 7:05pm.
