The Victoria Generals traveled to The Woodlands on Wednesday night to take on the Strykers in a quick one-game road trip, but the trip turned out to be even shorter than planned. In the bottom of the third inning, with the Generals leading 1-0 on a solo home run by Billy Richard, a stray thunderstorm rolled through The Woodlands Christian Academy. The game was postponed due to rain and lightening, and after a short delay it became evident that they would not be able to resume play. The game will go down as a canceled game. The stats from the first three innings will not count and the game will not be made up since the two teams do not meet again in the first-half of the season in The Woodlands.
The Generals return to action tomorrow night at 7:05pm as they host the McKinney Marshals at Riverside Stadium in Victoria. It will be the Generals first Thirsty Thursday of the season. Draft beer will be $1 all game long on the 100.5 The Ranch Party Deck.
Thursday night is also VC Appreciation Night and Little League Night. All students, faculty, and staff that show a Victoria College ID at the gate will receive half-price tickets. All little leaguers in uniform will get in for free.
