With the scored tied at 2-2 on Monday night, the Coppell Copperheads scored a run in the bottom of the ninth inning on an error to notched the 3-2 win over the Victoria Generals.
The Generals took a 1-0 lead on an RBI ground out by Trent Wagner in the first inning.
The Generals extended the lead to 2-0 on an RBI single by Kevin Phillips in the fifth inning.
The Copperheads tied the score at 2-2 in the bottom half of the fifth on a two-run double by Anthony Guglielmi.
Denver Diefenbach took the loss for the Generals as they fell to 12-16 on the season. The Copperheads improved to 15-14.
The Generals and Copperheads will meet for game two of the series on Tuesday night in Coppell. It will be the final game of the first-half of the season for both teams.
