The Victoria Generals got off to a fast start Friday evening in Kilgore versus the East Pumpjacks in their first ever game in the Texas Collegiate League. The Generals scored 5 runs in the top of the first and Blake Ford threw 5 stellar innings allowing 2 unearned runs in the second.
However the Pumpjacks touched up the Generals bullpen for 7 runs in the bottom of the sixth and finished off a 9-6 opening day victory for the home team.
The two teams play again Saturday at 7:05 pm in Driller Park, Kilgore.
