The Victoria Generals offense had a breakout night as they scored 11 runs on 10 hits to beat the North Texas Copperheads 11-4 on Saturday night. Andrew Russell led the way for the Generals at the plate going 3-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored. Kenny Jackson was 2-for-3 on the night with a double, a walk, a hit-by-pitch, two RBI, and a run scored. Jared Hopper picked up his second win of the season, pitching five innings and only giving up two earned runs. Sam Walker pitched the final four innings for the Generals without allowing a hit or a run. The Generals moved to 21-13 on the season as the Copperheads fell to 10-23. The Generals will host the first-place Brazos Valley Bombers on Sunday night starting at 7:05pm.
