Coming into tonight's game, the Victoria Generals had committed the fewest errors in the Texas Collegiate League this season. Unfortunately for the Generals, tonight they experienced one of their worst defensive performances of the year as they committed four errors on the night which led to three unearned runs for the Brazos Valley Bombers. The Bombers received a great outing from starting pitcher Michael Pitts who went seven innings, only allowing one run off of a solo home run by General's right fielder Conner Mach. Pitts only gave up four hits on the night while striking out four batters. The Generals fell to 16-10 on the season as the Bombers improved to 19-12. The Generals will have Wednesday and Thrusday off before returning to action on the road on Friday to face the Texas Tomcats. The Generals next home game is this Sunday, July 18 against the North Texas Copperheads.
