Mark Hudson - Victoria Generals
After sitting out for a few weeks to allow time for his broken wrist to heal, Victoria General's centerfielder Mark Hudson has returned to form as he was named the TCL Co-Player of the Week for week 4. Hudson, the reigning TCL Player of the Year from last season, is now leading the league in hitting with a .394 batting average.

Week Four (June 21 to June 27)
Co-Players of the Week
Mark Hudson, Victoria Generals
The reigning TCL Player of the Year proved he has recovered from a broken wrist, stroking a .526 average (10-for-19) with two doubles in four games last week. Hudson scored four times and drove in three while striking out just once and drawing a walk. Hudson was at his best early in the week, as he was 4-for-5 with an RBI Monday at Alexandria. The next night he was 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI as the Generals beat the Aces.
Lee Orr, East Texas Pump Jacks
This is the second-straight week Orr has garnered Co-POW honors. While his average (.368) paled in comparison to Hudson’s, Orr’s combination of power and speed earned him repeat honors. For the week, Orr hit two home runs and slugged at a .684 clip while stealing seven bases in seven attempts. Orr was 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI and three steals Tuesday against McKinney. His second circuit shot came against North Texas on Saturday.

Pitcher of the Week
Zach Oates, Texas Tomcats
Oates was honored as TCL Pitcher of the Week after throwing just the second no-hitter in league history, although he was saddled with the 2-0 loss. Starting the first game of a Friday doubleheader in East Texas, Oates posted the first TCL no-hitter since Brazos Valley’s Clint Helms turned the trick in 2007. He struck out three over six innings and allowed just four base runners on three walks and a hit batter. Unfortunately, three of those runners reached in the pivotal second inning, two of them scoring on groundouts to saddle Oates with a historic defeat.
