The Victoria General's offense had a five run outburst in the bottom of the first inning to give starting pitcher Blake Payne an early lead in the game. The Generals big blast of the inning was a three-run home run by Conner Mach. Mark Hudson added an RBI double and Kyle Arnsberg added an RBI triple to also plate runs for the Generals in the first. Payne went seven innings, giving up three runs while striking out four batters to get the win. Kolt Browder came on to pitch the final two innings, striking out four batters to record the save. The Generals moved back into first place with the win as they improved to 12-7 on the season. The Bombers fell to 13-8. The Generals will wrap up their home stand with a game tomorrow night as they host the McKinney Marshals starting at 7:05pm at Riverside Stadium in Victoria.
