The Victoria Generals defeated the Alexandria Aces 6-2 tonight to move back into a tie for first place in the Texas Collegiate League standings with the Brazos Valley Bombers. The Generals received a solid outing from starting pitcher Sam Walker who picked up his first win as a General. Walker pitched five innings without allowing a run while only giving up six hits and striking out one. Roman Madrid picked up his first save of the season, working two innings of relief. The Generals were led at the plate by Mark Hudson who went 3-for-5 with an RBI and David Baker who went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a walk. Brendan McGaheran, Abel Baker, Jeramie Marek, and Michael Niemann each had an RBI apiece as well. The Generals improved their record to 10-6 as the Aces fell to 4-11. The Generals will look to sweep the series tomorrow night as the two teams meet again starting at 7:00pm.
