Despite great pitching performances by Blake Payne and Ryan Turner, the Generals were unable scratch out any runs on the night as they were shutout by the Brazos Valley Bombers 1-0. Starting pitcher Brian Borski was brilliant for the Bombers, pitching 6.2 innings of shutout ball before giving way to Matt Passauer who finished off the shutout. Generals starting pitcher Blake Payne suffered his first loss ever in the Texas Collegiate League. He was a perfect 6-0 last season and was 1-0 going into tonight's game. The Generals are now 5-4 on the season as the Bombers move to 5-5. The Generals will continue on their short road trip to East Texas to take on the Pump Jacks tomorrow night in Kilgore starting at 7:05pm.
