The Victoria Generals are finally at full strength after having several of their players report to the team late due to their respective universities and colleges playing deep into the playoffs this season. Newcomers Conner Mach (University of Missouri) and Abel Baker (Baylor University) both homered in their first game is a Generals uniform tonight as the Generals defeated the Alexandria Aces. Returning player Kenny Jackson (Texas A&M University) also played in his first game of the season. The Generals received a steller pitching performance from starter Jared Hopper who threw six shutout innings while only allowing three hits to earn the win. The Generals defeated the Alexandria Aces by a final score of 7-3. The Generals are now 5-3 on the season while the Aces fall to 3-4. The Generals will hit the road to play the Brazos Valley Bombers tomorrow night in Bryan. The Generals next home game is scheduled for Thursday, June 17 at 7:05pm at Riverside Stadium against the East Texas Pump Jacks.
