The Generals found themselves in an early 3-0 hole against the Alexandria Aces after the first inning, but the Generals pitching staff posted 10 consecutive innings without allowing a run to help the Generals get back into the ball game. In the top of the 8th inning, with the Generals trailing 3-2, third baseman Brian Nephew hit a sacrifice fly to drive home teammate Michael Pair to tie the game. Roman Madrid came on in relief and held the Aces scoreless for the final four innings. The Aces pitching staff walked the bases loaded in the top of the 11th inning before Andrew Russel hit a RBI single to push across the go ahead run. Brendan McGaheran then grounded into a fielders choice which drove in another Generals run to make the score 5-3. Madrid struck out the side in the 11th inning to earn the win. The Generals ended their three game losing streak and are now 3-3 on the season. The Generals will move on to face the Brazos Valley Bombers tomorrow night in Bryan starting at 7:05pm.
