After a 30 minute delay to start the game due to a power outage, the Generals jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning before the East Texas Pump Jacks tied the game back up at 2-2 in the third. After falling behind 4-2, the Generals bouced back with three runs in the seventh and two runs in the eighth to go ahead 7-4. That score would be the final as the game was called after eight innings due to lightening. The Generals move to 2-0 on the season as the Pump Jacks fall to 0-1. The two teams will meet again tomorrow night at 7:05 at Riverside Stadium if the weather will allow it. It's Thirsty Thursday at the park, where draft beer is only $1 all night long!
The Generals staff and management would like to apologize to all of their fans for not having the live video stream of tonights game as advertised online. We are still working out the kinks in our video and stats systems and will have it all straightened out soon. Thank you for your patience.
