The Victoria Generals organization would like to thank everyone for a great season. Although we came up a little short in the playoffs, it was a record season for the Generals. After a sluggish start to the season (3-7 record after 10 games), the Generals got it rolling and never looked back finishing the season on a 29-8 run. 32-15 was our best season in franchise history.
To our fans, wow what a group! You all brought it every night rooting for the team and really making the term "home field advantage" a reality with our 16 game home winning streak to finish up the season.
Our sponsors are amazing sticking with us year after year to allow us to have the Generals for 15 seasons! Many thanks to all the new sponsors that jumped on board this season as well.
To Michael Oros and our coaching staff, many thanks for always leading the team professionally. The players leave the summer with a greater understanding of the game as the head back to their respective teams.
To our players, thank you for playing your hearts out on the field everyday and also showing the league what a quality team is always about. A very respectful bunch that meshed well with our community.
To our host families, many thanks for not skipping a beat taking on whatever challenges I have and caring so wonderfully for our players. All the new host families were fantastic and I hope you enjoyed the experience this season!
Finally, to my staff that always delivered everyday ensuring we put on a great experience for our fans each night. My interns that gave up their summer to support the Generals and they did an outstanding job.
The 2024 season preparation begins today! Stay in touch in the off season and I look forward to seeing all you back at the ballpark next season.
