Generals Announce 2023 TCL Schedule
December 8, 2022 – The Texas Collegiate League released the 2023 season schedule this week as the TCL is set to launch their 20th season of wood bat collegiate baseball. The 2023 season, the Victoria Generals will celebrate their 15th season in the TCL as they seek their 3rd TCL Championship
This season will consist of a 48 game season (24 home dates, 24 road dates) with playoff games following the regular season. The Generals will open up the season with a three-game road trip starting on May 31st as they take on the Baton Rouge Rougarou, followed by a stop at the Acadiana Cane Cutters and Brazos Valley Bombers before returning home. The Generals home opener will be on Sunday, June 4th. This season will see the return of an Opening Day Free Ticket Night presented by Texas Roadhouse. All Generals fans will be admitted to the home opener absolutely FREE thanks to our partnership with Texas Roadhouse!
The season will be divided into two 24 game halves as the Generals conclude the end of the first half on Tuesday, June 27th. The following day will begin the second half that will run until the final day of the regular season on Saturday, July 29th. The playoffs will begin immediately following that with a TCL champion crowned on Saturday, August 5th.
Several important dates have been locked down for the 2023 season including our 10th Annual Warriors Weekend event that will be scheduled for Saturday, June 10th thanks to our sponsor Scherer Kubota. This will be our first jersey night of the season and will also be a Free Ticket Night presented by Compadres Design. Players and coaches will have their jerseys auctioned off with 100% of the money raised going to Warriors Weekend.
Our Purple Out the Park for Alzheimer’s event will be held on Thursday, July 6th thanks to our sponsor Edward Jones. This will also be a jersey auction with 100% of the money raised going to the Alzheimer’s Association. Our final jersey auction of the season will be held on Saturday, July 16th with Strike Out Cancer Night at the Ballpark presented by Citizens Medical Center. Money raised will go to the fight against cancer. Over the past nine seasons, the Victoria Generals have raised more than $315,000 through their charity jersey auctions.
Several other promotional nights include Faith and Family Night presented by Klean Corp International, Dad’s Day at the Park presented by Explore Victoria Texas, Educator’s Night presented by Whataburger and several other Free Ticket Nights.
