Generals Early Lead Not Enough as Cane Cutters Take Game One
The Generals make the long track to Lafayette to take on the Cane Cutters for Game One of the Best of Three series. Generals bats get hot and got on the board early with four runs in the first inning to take a 4-0 lead heading to the bottom of the first inning. Cane Cutters would cut the lead in half with a long ball that would score a pair of tuns to tun the score to 4-2. The Cane cutters would get hot with a huge seven run inning in the bottom of the second to take the lead 9-5. The Generals would get as close as 11-8 but that would not be enough as the Generals would fall in game one by the score of 15-8.
The Generals are back in action on Wednesday night with a FREE TICKET PLAYOFF GAME as the Generals look to even the series tonight to force a deciding game three on Thursday night at Riverside Stadium. Gates open at 6PM with Happy Hour on the Dornburg Party Deck until first pitch.
