With nothing going in the 6th for the Generals offensively, they came into the 7th inning again not holding back anything. Pacchioli came up and hit a 3-run double scoring Burks and Pickering making it 16-2. The Strykers couldn’t put anything together in the bottom of the 7th and would end the game with a flyout to Pacchioli in right field.
This game being one of a double header means the teams will only play 7 innings of ball each game. So after a Generals 16-2 win, the two teams would gear up for game two.
Kris Looper started the 2nd game of the double-header Tuesday night, and pitched a superb game. Grabbing the win and going 6 innings with 3 strikeouts, allowing 0 runs and only 1 hit. Outfielder Justin Pacchioli continued his fantastic season going 2 for 3 and scoring the only two Generals runs.
The Generals picked up right where they left off in the top of the 1st inning when Blake Cooper hit a sac fly to score Justin Pacchioli and take a 1-0. Kris Looper retired the first 3 batters of the Strykers lineup in the bottom of the 1st. Looper continued his dominance in the second retiring all three batters, and on to the 3rd inning where he finally allowed a base runner from a walk.
The Generals put one more run on the board in the 4th inning when the Strykers committed a throwing error which would allow Pacchioli to score making it 2-0. Looper came into the bottom of the 4th and took care of business retiring the side and recorded his first 2 strikeouts of the night.
Looper had a no hitter going into the 6th inning, where he finally gave up a single to the Strykers. He would finish the inning and Jeff Chesnut would come in to finish the game in the bottom of the 7th.
