Richard Haifley is currently in his second year as the Director of Marketing & Communications for the Victoria Generals.

Richard joined the General’s front office in April of 2013 and is tasked with building the Generals' branding efforts in Victoria and the surrounding communities as well as creating new and exciting ways to get the community involved with the team.

Born in Houston, Richard is a true native Texan having also lived in College Station, Montgomery, Austin, Sugar Land & attendend college in Nacogdoches. Before arriving here in Victoria, Richard called Mansfield home working at the Texas Rangers Ball Park in Arlington. His closest childhood friend is a pitcher in the New York Mets organization.

Richard is not the first member in his family to be involved in baseball. He grew-up hearing the story about his cousin, Brooklyn Dodger outfielder Al Gionfriddo, and his famous catch at Yankee Stadium in the 6th game of the World Series off the bat of Joe DiMaggio.

Richard is also a die hard hockey and football fan. His favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Steelers.
