Darien Simms, outfielder from Spring, Texas,  is a redshirt freshman at the University of Arkansas. Simms, a standout at Northland Christian High School hit .424 with 48 runs scored and had 33 stolen bases in 31 games on the season.  Simms set the school record for single season and career stolen bases. Simms is majoring in mechanical engineering.

Congratulations to Darien Simms for being selected as the Generals Warrior of the Week!  Darien had an impressive week going 7 for 16 (.438) with a double, 8 runs scored, 2 RBI's and 5 walks. Simms was also a beast on the base path with 3 stolen bases on the week. His on-base percentage was a healty .571 on the week. Congratulations Darien!
