Biography:

2014: Bryce Only played in 18 games during his freshman season, including 11 starts • Hit .241 on the year with five runs scored and five RBIs • Ranked third on the team with four HBP • Notched his first career multi-hit game in a 7-3 win at Wichita State on March 25, went 2-for-3 against the Shockers with a RBI • Went 1-for-2 with a run scored in his first career Big Ten game, a 5-1 win at Iowa on March 22 • Produced his first career multi-RBI with a two-out bases-loaded single that drove in a pair in a 4-0 win at The Citadel on March 2 • Notched his first RBI as a Husker when he was hit-by-pitch with the bases loaded at The Citadel on March 1 • Made his first career start at The Citadel on Feb. 28, went 0-2, but scored a run after being hit-by-pitch • Pinch hit against Washington on Feb. 22 and roped a base hit on the first pitch he saw • Made his Husker debut against No. 2 Oregon State on Feb. 15 as a pinch hitter • Roped a base hit on the first pitch he saw and came around to score on a double by Jake Placzek • Stayed in the game and was hit-by-pitch in his next at-bat, then stole the Huskers’ first base of the season and later scored.

Before Nebraska: Bryce Only joined the Huskers from Huntley High School in Algonquin, Ill., where he was a 2013 first-team All-Central Region selection by Rawlings • Tabbed as the No. 342 overall recruit and the No. 19 third baseman in the country by Perfect Game • Ranked as the fifth-best recruit in the state of Illinois • Was an all-state selection in Class 4A by the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association in 2013 after hitting .362 with six home runs and 30 RBIs • Led Algonquin to the state tournament in 2013, where they lost in the second round of the 16-team bracket to St. Charles, who went on to take third place • Helped Huntley to a fourth place finish at the 2010 4A state tournament as a freshman • Earned second-team Underclass All-America honors prior to the start of the 2012 season and was an honoable-mention pick in 2011 • Competed at the 2013 Perfect Game WWBA National Championhip in Marietta, Ga. • Named to the 2012 WWBA Kernels Foundation Championship all-tournament team • Letterwinner in both baseball and basketball at Huntley.
