In2013: Holcomb saw limited action as an outfielder and pitcher last season.He appeared in seven games with one start in the outfield and 12 appearances on the mound with two starts as a redshirt freshman. He was 1-of-7 at the plate posting a pinch-hit double. As a pitcher, Holcomb went 2-0. He won his first start tossing four innings in a doubleheader woith Fisher College striking out five. His second win came in his next appearance in relief at Angelo State allowing one run on three hits in 3-1/3 innings of work. His second start came in the championship game of the Lone Star Conference Tournament tossing 3-1/3 innings scattering two runs on three hits.

In 2012: Holcomb redshirted in 2012.

High School: Holcomb earned two varsity letters in baseball at Dripping Springs High School. He earned first team all-district honors after hitting .490 with five home runs and 30 RBI’s. He was named the team’s offensive MVP. He led the team to a district championship and a pair of playoff appearances. He graduated with a 3.75 grade point average.
