July 30, 2013 – With less than two weeks remaining in the 2013 Texas Collegiate League regular season, the Victoria Generals have added catcher Brandon Bohanon from the University of Houston – Victoria and right-handed pitcher Argenis Angulo from Ranger College to the active roster to help the team finish the summer season.

Bohanon recently completed his junior season at UHV where he was named to the A.I.I. All-Conference Second Team. Bohanon hit .313 on the season with three doubles, two triples, and a team-leading four home runs. Bohanon also drove in 20 runs and scored nine times.

Angulo made his first appearance of the season for the Generals in game two of Sunday night’s double header against the Texas Marshals. Angulo did not allow a hit and struck out one batter in his one inning of work.

Angulo, a native of Araure, Venezuela, was a freshman at Ranger this past spring. Angulo appeared in 12 games and recorded 14 strikeouts in 33.2 innings on the season.
